Kimberly

It's only Day two and already I am injured!! I woke up yesterday with the gusto and enthusiasm to "win" the challenge and about 1/2 an hour into my run, I felt like daggers were being pushed into my spinal cord. I can barely walk today and sleeping is even painful.... uugh. I am hoping a little yoga and stretching will do me some good. I did do cardio at the Cove on the ellipitcal, and that was ok and I also think that the strength training on the machines was good. Please say a little prayer that my back gets better. It's really so painful. Going to the beach now with an osteopathic doctor and she is going to check it out too. Well no more running for me,..I guess I have to do bike or swimming. If i do yoga, does that count as cardio or strength training? If it is 90 mins, how many sessions of each does that count for???

This is my inspiration:

I just wanted to see if we could really add pics to this and it worked! Hence the family photo! I'm uploading fat pics of me on here later for inspiration! (and luckily i have recent ones thanks to our trip)

Cardio is anything that gets the heart rate up and as Kimby stated..if you can do that for 45-1hr, GOD BLESS YOU (it counts in my book).
I started w/ my vodka drinking last nt. It will definitely make me cut back. I had one vodka soda when i would have had 3 beers and i drank it really slow b/c it wasn't tasty.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!! We can do this!

Does s*x last 45 min-1 hour minimum? 4x a week? If you have that going on, why not!!

Denise

I am not sure how I am going to do this.. I just ate a tub of Lucky Charms as a snack! and all that cardio... Does s#x count as cardio?! :)

The Manolo Challenge starts in 2 days. I am scared out of my mind.

The Rules

THE MANOLO CHALLENGE is an exercise program that will prepare us for KS's wedding and will ultimately end with a gorgeous pair of shoes if you are successful. If not, you are SOL and you owe someone else money or shoes. You do it with a friend or group of friends.
cardio at least 4x a week for min of 45 min - 1 hour;
100 sit ups 3x a week;
strength training at least 2x a week.
On eating and drinking,
drinks -- no more than 7 a week
and no donuts, fries, etc. stuff like that.

You have to report to the other person /group each week how you do, and if you do something like eat fries,you can be assigned a make-it-up workout like an extra hour on the bike. If after 2 months you have complied with everything on average 90% (leeway for life getting in the way), you "win". If you win and the other loses, the loser buys the winner a pair of manolos. If you both win, you buy yourselves a pair of manolos. If you both lose, you have to donate $500 to a charity...so in any event, you are out $500 but the goal is to not have to buy the other person a pair of shoes!

GIRLS -- We are beginning on Aug 30 which is a saturday. The first day to report to the group will be Monday September 8 and you will be reporting your workouts and any dietary indiscretions from Sat to Sat! Get ready!! NO EXCUSES!!! Excuses will cost you $500.

OK, losers buy winners dinner worth $500, not John's Pizza!
I think it would be fun to all get shoes together, but if that is not how you want to spend your money you will not be forced. State your prizes at the beginning so you can keep your eyes on the prize :-) GOOD TIMES!!!
