50% carbs = 4 cal / g
25% protein = 4 cal / g
25% fats = 9 cal / g
That means for every 2 grams of fat, I should be eating 15 g of carbs and 5 g of protein. I have to keep track that I keep in the right ratio this week with the fantastic spreadsheet Robert gave me. That means I will be looking up a lot of nutrition info this week, but hopefully by the end of this week or next, I will be able to eyeball my foods and know what's what.
Next I found out that 3500 calories is equal to a pound of weight loss / gain. That means if you want to lose two pounds a week, you'd have to decrease your caloric intake by 7000 calories/ week either by restriction of food or excessive exercise. That's 1000 calories a day and is not realistic or good for the body. He said you have to do this gradually, like decrease 200 cal a day + exercise and I should lose about 1.5 lbs per week. That is good and healthy and is really the maximum. For my height and weight, he suggested starting off with 1800 calories a day... if it doesn't work, then I have to modify!
Anyway, another exciting night on the UWS!
Jennifer, glad you have met someone "normal so far." I hope he stays that way!! What ever happened with M, your friend from the neighborhood? Did you just release him back into the wild? Was he a flake?? And how can you be jonesing for an SPK, look for one like a manic, find one finally, and then throw it out?? YOU ATE THE STALE SPK!! Admit it!!
I also have to say that Denise has been hitting the CC shamelessly this week and has even vowed to BUY MORE. How do we handle this?
